Eggs

Lately I've been eating eggs. A LOT OF EGGS. I think everyone has their favorite way of making eggs, but I feel I'm really picky. I don't really care for scrambled eggs, omelets, over easy, over hard, poached, benedict, and on and on.... my egg of choice is always over medium. Some of you may not even know that is a term for eggs! But you know when you fry up an egg and they whites get completely cooked, and the yolks are not broken but starting to get to that gelatinous oooey gooey goodness? Like slow molten lava when you break it apart? Yeah, that's how I eat my eggs. Here's the thing about Over Medium eggs though.... it takes time and patience. You flip too early and the whites don't cook completely and the yolks run like a river. You flip too hard and the yolks break and alas you end up with over hard eggs. There is a skill.... you need to wait.... and wait.... and sometimes even when you think you should flip it you should in fact wait, though sometimes it's hard to know. Then, when the time is right you flip it, finish it, and enjoy the hard work that has been put into it.  Lately I feel like an over medium egg.
I have been ignoring what I feel to be my calling for a LONG while now. God has be working in me, and my heart races when I think about it... sometimes in a good way, but mostly in a I'm so scared way.  I was recently reminded that good things can come through change and stepping out of your comfort zone can result in amazing growth, and faith.  I think God has been telling me it's time to flip.... he's been working on my heart for awhile and I'm ready to flip and see what lies on the other side, as there could be amazing oooey gooey goodness. Of course there is always the fear that I will break, but you know what? God loves over hard eggs too.  =)
